In the sun-dappled village of Vrindavan, a kind fruit vendor walked down the lane. 'Sweet berries! Juicy mangoes!' she called out with a warm smile. Little Krishna heard her song and ran to the doorstep. His tummy rumbled, and he longed to taste those delicious, colorful fruits.

Krishna knew that the grown-ups traded grains of wheat for good things to eat. He scampered inside his house and reached deep into a big clay pot. He cupped his tiny palms together, scooping up as much golden grain as his small hands could hold. He was so excited to make his very first trade!

Krishna toddled toward the street as fast as his little feet could carry him. But oh dear! The tiny grains began slipping right through his chubby fingers. Plip, plop! Grains trickled onto the dusty path. By the time he reached the fruit vendor, only a few tiny grains remained in his hands.

Krishna offered his tiny remaining grains with a bright, loving smile. The fruit vendor looked at the sweet little boy, and her heart melted with pure joy. She did not care about the lost grain at all. She happily filled Krishna's small hands to overflowing with her sweetest, ripe berries.

Little Krishna giggled and skipped away, happily munching his sweet treat. When the fruit vendor looked down into her basket, she gasped in wonder! Every remaining fruit had transformed into glittering jewels and shining gold coins. Her generous heart had given with love, and Krishna had blessed her forever.

When we share with love and a pure heart, no gift is ever too small.
